ELU members participated in unique opportunities focused on Bettering Berks throughout February and March. They participated in ELU’s:
- Galantines Day event with the Oakbrook Girls on the Run team at Sweet Ride Ice Cream.
- Paint the Town (Literally) event where ELU members partnered with Mike Miller to assist with painting a mural that will be hung on Albright’s campus this summer.
- Women in Leadership Panel, in honor of Women’s History Month, where local nonprofit leaders shared their leadership journeys through a panel and round table discussions.
- Virtual session with American Red Cross Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter to learn about the partnership with United Way and an upcoming citywide volunteer opportunity.
In April, ELU members will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in United Way’s Focus Area Friday at Second Street Learning Center
- Connect with ELU members and help United Way for April “Food” Day at Honeygrow
- Socialize with fellow ELU members and participants of Leadership Berks and Blueprint for Leadership
- Prepare the Oakbrook Community Garden for Spring
