Emerging Leaders United (ELU) had the honor of attending the 18th Annual National Philanthropy Day celebration hosted by the Berks County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) on Friday, November 15, 2024. During the event, ELU was recognized as the 2024 Outstanding Volunteer Community Group, a testament to the dedication and impact of our members in the Berks County community.
Cassandra Weidner, the ELU Cabinet Chair, accepted the award on behalf of our group. We were proud to have her represent us as we celebrated the contributions of all those who work tirelessly for the betterment of our community. Cassandra shared, “As someone who once benefited from United Way services, it’s incredibly meaningful to stand here today, now as the ELU Cabinet Chair and an active member since 2017, giving back to the community that supported me.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to AFP for this honor and for their ongoing support of philanthropic initiatives in our area. We also want to recognize the ELU Cabinet members who attended the event, showcasing the commitment and passion that drive our mission.
